We didn't start this to sell groceries.
We started it because something quiet had been breaking for a long time — and someone had to put the pieces back where they belonged.

There was a time when you knew the person who grew your food. You knew their name. You knew their land. You knew, in some quiet way, that the meal in front of you was the end of a story they had been living out, season after season, for most of their life.
Then we built a system that erased all of that. Not on purpose — in pieces. A truck here, a warehouse there, a buyer in a city far from the field. A label that promises "fresh" without saying where from. A supermarket aisle where every chicken looks the same and none of them have a name.
The food kept arriving. The link did not.
Who pays the price
We started Farmthru because two groups of people were quietly paying for that lost link, and neither of them deserved to.
The farmers — who get up before light, who steward the soil that grows our country's food, who carry the weight of weather and rising costs and impossible margins. They were getting squeezed out by a chain of middlemen who didn't grow anything, didn't raise anything, didn't risk anything, but kept most of the value.
The families — who want to eat well, who want food they can trust, who want to feed their kids something honest. They were paying premium prices for confident-sounding labels and getting back vague answers about where any of it actually came from.
Two groups of people who should be on the same side of the table. Separated, for decades, by a system that profited from their distance.
What we're building
Farmthru is a direct line. That's the whole idea. It sounds small written down, but the implications are not.
It means we choose a small number of farms, by hand, and we tell you who they are. It means the people raising your beef or growing your tomatoes can set their own prices, get paid weekly, and keep doing the work that makes the land better instead of worse. It means you can look up a product and find out which farm it came from, what they believe in, and why we backed them.
It means a chicken has a name again. It means soil is a beneficiary, not a casualty. It means "Australian grown" is a fact you can verify, not a phrase printed on packaging.
And it means — for the first time in a long time — the person buying the food and the person growing it are doing something together.
A word to the people standing with us
To the farmers — we know what's at stake. The land you've cared for. The practices you've refused to compromise on, even when it was cheaper to. The children you hope might take over one day. We will not be another buyer who shows up, takes the best, drives the price down, and disappears. We are in this for the long version.
To our customers — you are not the end of this chain. You are part of it. Every order is a small vote for the kind of food system you want to live inside. We will not waste that. We will keep the prices honest, the supply transparent, and the standards uncompromised. If we fall short, we'll tell you.
To our investors, partners, and stakeholders — thank you for backing a business that measures itself in more than one currency. We will grow it carefully. We will not chase scale at the expense of the promise. We believe the farms-to-families model is not a niche — it is the future of how food should move — and we intend to prove it.

Our promise
